Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium

Winchester Science Centre is home to the UK's largest planetarium and has over 100 hands-on exciting science exhibits, it is a great place for a family day out. Just outside of Winchester, the Science Centre is approximately 30 miles from Portsmouth.

The largest Planetarium in the UK was opened at Winchester Science Centre in March 2008. It can seat 176 people and has a huge domed screen and state of the art digital projection which makes you feel you are travelling amongst the planets and stars. Depending on the show you can fly through the solar system, visit a black hole, or find out what you can see in the sky tonight. There is a small additional charge for the planetarium, not covered by the entry ticket.
